As Election Day on November 4 approaches, educators must emphatically support the slate of candidates officially endorsed by the Colorado Education Association (CEA) — those who have pledged to stand with educators, support staff, and public schools rather than privatization agendas. For the local El Paso County region, the endorsed candidates include: in Academy School District 20 (D-20) the trio of Jenna Hernandez Stites, Brandon Clark, and Renée Ludlam; in Colorado Springs School District 11 (D-11) Charles Johnson, Michael Carsten and LeAnn Bartlett; in Widefield School District 3 (D-3) Michelle Hubbard and William “Wen” Dolphin; in Lewis‑Palmer School District 38 (D-38) Jackie Burhans; and in Falcon School District 49 (D-49) Holly Withers and Chris Harrell.
